Upon Reading Today’s News

She holds him in her womb

Experiencing him from within herself

His movements keeping  her awake at night

In sweet awe of the Beauty in their connection

She, a picture of Oneness

Round, alive, two hearts beating

When he takes birth

She will Know divine vulnerability

No longer able to protect

Separateness in body

But always pure Love connection

This is how God must feel

Watching us play on

Unable to keep us in all of our humanness safe

Knowing that even in a moment of atrocity beyond words

Love will always be our connection.

Dear Syria,

My heart cries for you and your children.

I cry for all of the children lost and for all of the mothers who had to stand by.

This, as a mother, touches my heart, and moves my soul. Your dedication to the mothers and children is touching. Brilliant.

Powerful! Heart beats thumping, between beats; breaths, breathing, between the lines…its voice, stepping beyond the final period.

This poem touched me so much, on different levels, but more as a mother. Thank you for sharing.
