Winnie and Alberta

Winnie’s fingers were bent

In angles

Making it impossible

For her to fix

Her curly white locks

Into the combs

So Alberta would come to her home

Walker, pillow, teacup

And place the pillow on Winnie’s

Low kitchen table

Where she sat

As Winnie poured luke warm water

Over tea bags

“We are children again”

Winnie sparkled

Before finally sitting in her kitchen chair

Where Alberta could brush

Loose silk spiral strands

And pile them

Onto the top of Winnie’s head.

Thank you Susan. I love these two characters already. I inadvertently seemed to kill off Sadie…so unless she comes back from the dead…I have them hopefully to write about. Thank you for reading always.:) Love, Jennifer
